"Everything's Bigger in Texas" Teen Activity

The "Everything's Bigger in Texas" activity had a "Hillbilly"/"Swamp Yankee" theme. Our hosts did an amazing job with the food and decorations. We began by assembling into groups and foraging through the surrounding town in search of "Bigger and Better" junk... The team with the large rolling shelf won the game. After that, we had a broken lawnmower race, followed by a SPAM carving contest.  The carvings ranged from a "pile of rocks" to a "Resurrection Scene." We had a large array of delicious food.  For the final part of the activity, Pastor Jake preached from I Samuel 15 and challenged the teens to align their hearts with God's desire for them to obey His commands. "To obey is better than sacrifice"
